Protection of Personal Information Act, 4 of 2013

HSEQ Consulting (Pty) Ltd is committed to the responsible processing of personal information in full compliance with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 4 of 2013 ("POPIA") and the regulations promulgated thereunder.

Our Commitment

As a responsible operator in South Africa's industrial and compliance sector, we recognise that the personal information entrusted to us by clients, employees, contractors, and website visitors must be handled with the highest degree of care, transparency, and integrity.

We are committed to processing personal information lawfully, fairly, and in a manner that does not infringe the privacy rights of data subjects.

Information Officer

HSEQ Consulting has designated an Information Officer responsible for ensuring compliance with POPIA across our operations. All data subject requests, complaints, and queries must be directed to our Information Officer.

Eight Conditions for Lawful Processing

HSEQ Consulting adheres to all eight conditions for the lawful processing of personal information as set out in POPIA:

We take full responsibility for ensuring POPIA compliance throughout our organisation and supply chain.

Processing Limitation

We collect only the minimum personal information necessary for the specific purpose, with your knowledge and consent.

Purpose Specification

Personal information is collected for specific, explicitly defined, and lawful purposes. We do not use it for incompatible secondary purposes.

Further Processing Limitation

We do not process your personal information in a manner incompatible with the purpose for which it was collected.

Information Quality

We take reasonable steps to ensure that the personal information we hold is accurate, complete, and up to date.

Openness

We are transparent about how we collect and use your personal information, as set out in our Privacy Policy and this statement.

Security Safeguards

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal information from unauthorised access, loss, or destruction.

Data Subject Participation

You have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information held by us at any time.

Data Subject Rights

Under POPIA, you have the following rights:

  • The right to be notified when your personal information is collected
  • The right to request access to your personal information (PAIA Form 2)
  • The right to request correction or deletion of your personal information
  • The right to object to the processing of your personal information
  • The right to submit a complaint to the Information Regulator
  • The right to be notified of security breaches involving your information
